Software Technology Parks

The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, has established over 30 software technology parks across the country. These technology parks provide IT companies with rental subsidies and IT-enabled infrastructure while fostering a conducive ecosystem for networking and collaboration within the IT industry. By creating such supportive environments, the government of Pakistan aims to facilitate the growth and development of the IT sector in Pakistan, attracting both local and foreign investments in the dynamic world of technology.

Pakistan’s Vision 2025 lays special emphasis on creation of Digital Economy by ensuring availability of accessible, affordable, reliable and secure ICT services and infrastructure. The vision of the Ministry of IT & Telecommunication for Digital Pakistan is “to bring socio-economic prosperity and citizen empowerment through digital transformation”. Digital Policy is paving the way for digital transformation across the Government as well as private sector. Two Prefeasibility studies have been under taken by Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority under Ministry of Industries and Production, Government of Pakistan.

Prefeasibility Study SOFTWARE HOUSE WITH 100 STAFF

The proposed software house provides services for web development, graphic designing, application development and game development. This Prefeasibility document provides details for setting up a Software House with core staff strength of 100. The proposed unit has a total annual service capacity of 89,600 hours per year while working at 8 hours per day for 280 days per year. The starting capacity utilization in the first year of operations is assumed to be 50%, while maximum capacity utilization is assumed to be 85%.
